MEETING AND DINING

Lodge:
The center of activity is the
Lodge. The Welcome Center is at the west end
of the
Lodge. We have information on the local area and its many attractions,
as
well as a Bookstore with music, clothing and remembrances.
Connecting with the Welcome Center is the Heritage Room. There you’ll
find
a small museum space, archives and library covering significant events in the
lives of
Thomas Potter and John Murray, and the history of Universalism. The
history
of Murray Grove itself is displayed in text and pictures on the walls
of the
Dining Room. (For more on the history, look under Heritage.) |
Fireside Room, for meeting, gathering, relaxing:

Screen House: for outdoor meeting and dining three seasons of the year, located conveniently next to the pool, outdoor grills, picnic tables, play structure, basketball hoop, volleyball net and the Parker bunkhouse.

Weakley House:

- comfortable twin beds; one queen

WORSHIP
Next door in the Good Luck Cemetery is the Potter Memorial Chapel, with Thomas Potter's grave alongside. This is a reconstruction, in 1841, of the original meetinghouse built by Thomas Potter in the mid-eighteenth century. It is available for worship services, with advance arrangement. In the northeastern corner of the property is the Universalist National Cemetery .
