DIRECTIONS TO
Murray Grove

From the North (New York City, Newark):

  1. Proceed South down the Garden State Parkway to Exit 74.
  2. After the toll both, turn right on Lacey Road.
  3. At the first signal, using the jug-handle from the right lane, turn left onto Manchester Ave.
  4. At the first signal, turn right onto Haines Street.
  5. At the first signal - there's an Ace hardware store on the right - turn right onto U.S. Highway 9.
  6. Just a few yards down Hwy. 9, you'll see the sign for Murray Grove on the left.
  7. Turn left into the driveway, and come on down to the Lodge.

From the South (Atlantic City):

  1. Proceed North up the Garden State Parkway to Exit 74.
  2. Turn right on Lacey Road.
  3. At the first signal, using the jug-handle from the right lane, turn left onto Manchester Ave.
  4. At the first signal, turn right onto Haines Street.
  5. At the first signal - there's an Ace hardware store on the right - turn right onto U.S. Highway 9.
  6. Just a few yards down Hwy. 9, you'll see the sign for Murray Grove on the left.
  7. Turn left into the driveway, and come on down to the Lodge.

From the South (Delaware/Maryland/Virginia):

THE EASIER BUT FARTHER AND LONGER WAY:

  1. From the Delaware Memorial Bridge, proceed North up I-295 to the Atlantic City Expressway.
  2. Proceed Southeast on the Atlantic City Expressway to the Garden State Parkway.
  3. Drive North up the Garden State Parkway to Exit 74.
  4. Turn right on Lacey Road.
  5. At the first signal, using the jug-handle from the right lane, turn left onto Manchester Ave.
  6. At the first signal, turn right onto Haines Street.
  7. At the first signal - there's an Ace hardware store on the right - turn right onto U.S. Highway 9.
  8. Just a few yards down Hwy. 9, you'll see the sign for Murray Grove on the left.
  9. Turn left into the driveway, and come on down to the Lodge.
...OR THE LESS SIMPLE BUT MORE DIRECT AND MORE SCENIC ALTERNATIVE:
  1. From the Delaware Memorial Bridge, proceed North up I-295 to Exit 34.
  2. Then as from the West, below...:

From the West (Philadelphia, Camden):

  1. From Exit 34 on I-295, take State Highway 70 East.
  2. You'll pass through three large traffic circles, continuing East on 70: one at Rte 73, one at Rte 206 and one at Rte 72.
  3. When you come to the traffic signal at Rte 539, turn right, following the signs for "Forked River".
  4. Turn left almost immediately, on Rte 530, again following signs for "Forked River".
  5. About a mile past the small town of Whiting, turn right on Lacey Road, at another sign for "Forked River".
  6. Proceed East on Lacey Road past where it crosses over the Garden State Parkway.
  7. At the first signal, using the jug-handle from the right lane, turn left onto Manchester Ave.
  8. At the first signal, turn right onto Haines Street.
  9. At the first signal - there's an Ace hardware store on the right - turn right onto U.S. Highway 9.
  10. Just a few yards down Hwy. 9, you'll see the sign for Murray Grove on the left.
  11. Turn left into the driveway, and come on down to the Lodge.

From the Northwest (Trenton):

  1. Go East on I-195, then South on the Garden State Parkway to Exit 74.
  2. After the toll booth, turn right on Lacey Road, at another sign for "Forked River".
  3. Proceed East on Lacey Road past where it crosses over the Garden State Parkway.
  4. At the first signal, using the jug-handle from the right lane, turn left onto Manchester Ave.
