Individuals
Individual retreats at Murray Grove offer an opportunity for a few restorative days of reflective silence and solitude – or simply a place to take some time just for yourself.
Solitude… Totally disconnect from the stress, pressures and frantic activity of contemporary living and focus seriously on your inner life: a chance to reacquaint yourself with yourself, to listen again for a while to your interior voice and that of the universe. To reconnect with – or to find – your center. Your time is your own.
Simplicity… Pare back the complexity of life to the essentials, both materially and psychologically.
Silence… The entire environment is designed to minimize disruption of retreatants' concentration.
Retreats of Repose… Rest up, write, think, pray, exercise, meditate, do artwork, play music, read some of those books you've been meaning to get to. Make fullest use of the meeting rooms, public spaces, labyrinth and walking paths of the Murray Grove grounds and adjoining 200-acre wildlife preserve. There is also a small library.
Work Retreats… Concentrate fully on whatever work is at hand for as long as you need to, with no distractions.
Recreational Retreats… Just have a good time, availing yourself of all the recreational opportunities offered by Murray Grove and the lovely Jersey Shore.
Assistant Director Michael Masters, with extensive experience in individual retreats, and a strong commitment to contemplative living, is ready to help.
Please note: Religious professionals of all faiths are invited for a complimentary overnight personal retreat based on space availability. Call for more details.
All are welcome!

Pricing
Discounts apply for youth, religious, and other groups. For a personalized quote that meets your specific needs, please call Murray Grove at 609-693-5558 or email to check on the current prices.
When we decide on dates for your retreat and agree upon pricing, we will email or mail you an invoice and contract. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Deposit can be by check, with a credit card or via Pay Pal. (Note that often more than one group is inquiring about the facility for the same dates. The first to submit their deposit is the group that secures the use of the facility. We recommend confirming with a deposit as soon as possible.) Final payment is due on or before the date of the scheduled retreat. A signed copy of our Contract is required prior to your arrival. A refundable cleaning deposit of $150.00 must be paid at the same time the Group pays the deposit to confirm the reservation. Kindly provide a separate check or credit card payment for this purpose. The cleaning deposit will be returned upon approval by MG housekeeping staff, less the cost of any damage or excessive extra cleaning.

Programs
Option #1: Design your own program.
Option #2: Contact our staff and consultants about designing and providing programming.
Also, ask about:
Universalist Historic Roots Tours: Enjoy the Potter Memorial Chapel, historic markers and the Edwin B. Forsythe Wildlife Preserve Nature Trail, with a marker at the site of the Potter Homestead. (See a more detailed explanation of our history under Heritage.)
Worship: Worship in season in the Potter Memorial Chapel, a quaint and beautifully-maintained chapel adjacent to Murray Grove.
Heritage Hunt: Ask about our “scavenger hunt”-style Heritage Hunt. It is great fun for all ages...and you’ll learn some things too!
Work Projects: We depend on help from our friends to make things around Murray Grove look better and run smoothly. Please consider asking us about participating in a short work project while you are at Murray Grove. We would be more than grateful if you did!
